Is this Carfax?
No — ServiceLedger is built for shops and dealers to justify work with primary-source recall and maintenance context, not a shopper-facing vehicle history brand.
Does the customer see my shop data?
Only what you already surface — we do not invent inspection findings; the PDF summarizes recalls and connected maintenance signal when LubeLogger (or similar) is linked.
What if LubeLogger is not connected?
The report still includes VIN decode plus recalls; the maintenance block simply shows "not configured" instead of guessing.
Is the VIN stored?
Logs follow the report-engine redaction policy — see the Trust page; do not treat the PDF as anonymous research input.
Lemon Squeezy test checkout path shows — is checkout real?
Production keys are founder-gated; the https://test.lemon-squeezy.com/checkout/<checkout_id> flow is intentional until live approval.
Can I resell the PDF to customers?
Yes — that is the model (customer-paid line item). Do not remove the disclaimer footer.

Enthusiast is low-volume personal use; shops should use Shop or higher for commercial bay usage and positioning.
API tier — what is metered?
Per successful POST /report (or agreed proxy) — token bucket details ship with partner onboarding.
Verified badge — requirements?
Productized criteria are TBD but they will tie to report volume and a disclosure snippet on the website.
NHTSA downtime?
The report shows a structured error state when recall data is unavailable; we do not fabricate recalls.
International VINs?
The decoder targets US charset rules (no I/O/Q); non-US VINs may be rejected at validation.
Refund policy for subscriptions?
